As a multilingual community of lifelong learners we work together respectfully to understand and improve ourselves and the world around us. Together we collaborate to develop our knowledge and skills to become confident, capable and compassionate global citizens.

At The English School of Asturias the community of students and educators are kind, caring and responsible citizens who strive to give the best of ourselves, and to see the best in each other.

OUR METHODOLOGY

Environment

Our multi-purpose built areas act as an extension of the classroom in which teachers harness the necessary resources for their students’ needs.

Digitalisation

Classrooms are equipped with digital resources to facilitate collaborative work processes between teachers and pupils. We believe the integration of technology adds another layer to existing skills, offering an alternative perspective on learning.

Learning

Our methodology is designed so teachers can guide students to make meaningful connections between different subject areas and apply information and analysis to reach conclusions.

ESA Students

Pupils are active agents of their own learning. Encouraged to constantly review and improve their work in the light of feedback from their teachers.

Expression

Focusing on students’ individuality, allows them to express themselves through different means and discover their unique talents and skills — all with the support of their teachers and carefully-chosen technology.

Society

We offer activities in which students participate and engage in ‘social-based learning’. This is enabled through project work, team-building, student-led activities, and a community that welcomes and values different points of view.
